2016年から"楽園"をテーマにたくさんの動物たちを描いてきました。

今回新型コロナウイルスで外出自粛になり、どこにも出かけられない時に外を感じられる花や植物を飾るようになりまして、新たに"久遠の庭"というシリーズの構想が生まれました。久遠とは『永遠』を意味する言葉です。

切り取られた花は束の間の命しか持たない故に儚さを意味しますが、庭に植えられた花たちは毎年咲き、形を少しずつ変えながら永続的に生き続けます。花の香りや海の音、月や星々、外を感じられるような絵を目指して描きました。

また『久遠』という言葉にはもう一つ、仏語で『遠い過去、または未来』を意味します。

タイトル 『天満月　-めぐりあい-』ですが、どこかで出会ったのかもしれない、懐かしさという意味を込めてつけました。

Since 2016, I have been painting a lot of animals with the theme of "Paradise".

This time I started to decorate them with flowers and plants to give them a sense of outside when they are unable to go anywhere due to the COVID-19. The word "kuon" means "eternity".

The flowers in the garden bloom every year, changing their shape little by little as they continue to live forever. I aimed to create a picture that would capture the scent of flowers, the sound of the ocean, the moon and stars, and the outside world.

The word "kuon" also means "distant past or future"

伝説上の獏は、疫病や厄を避け、邪気を払い、凶夢を食べるとされています。

また鉄や銅を食料とするので、武器に鉄が使われない平和な世にしか現れない「縁起のよい霊獣」でもあります。

この作品は悪夢から守護する獏を描きました。

動きをつけ流れるように描いた雲の模様は、盛り上げて金沢から取り寄せた金箔を貼っております。

雲母と金箔の輝きをお楽しみください。

Artist's comment:

Legend has it that the mythical tapir avoids epidemics and bad luck, wards off evil spirits, and eats bad dreams.

Since Baku's diet consists of iron and copper, he is a sacred beast of good omen that appears only in a peaceful world where iron is not used as a weapon.　I drew the baku to protect the animal from nightmares.

The pattern of clouds drawn in a flowing manner with movement is raised and gold leaf imported from Kanazawa is applied.

今年の三月に取材致しました椿を描きました。

椿は江戸時代から親しまれているお花です。

満開の3つの椿は三姉妹のように、たのしくひそひそとお話しあっているように描きました。

縦長の真っ赤な額は珍しいのですが、畳のお部屋やフローリングどちらにも合います。

ざらざらした絵肌と雲母による輝きをどうぞお楽しみください。

I painted the camellia that I covered in March this year.

Camellias have been popular since the Edo period.

The three camellias in full bloom look like three sisters happily chatting to each other in secret.

The vertical red frame is rare, but it suits both tatami room and wooden flooring.

Please enjoy the shine of the rough surface of the painting and the mica.

植物園の睡蓮を見て、星空の様な睡蓮の庭を想像し描いた作品です。丁度七夕に合わせて描いた作品で縦長のサイズは短冊を表しています。

七夕でする願い事は誰かに願いを叶えてもらうではなく、自分自身に叶えることを誓うためのものなのかもしれません。

この絵を制作中にそのように思いました。

池のようでもあり空のようでもあるこの作品は、様々な色を薄く何度もにじませ、描いております。

雲母の輝きと合わせて、色も楽しんでいただけましたら嬉しいです。

Artist's comment:

I drew this work from the water lilies in the botanical garden and imagined a water lily garden like a starry sky.

I drew this work just in time for the Tanabata festival and the vertical size represents a strip of paper.

It is not a wish to have your wish come true, but a wish to be made on the Tanabata day.

Maybe it's a commitment to make it come true for myself.

That's what I was thinking about when I was working on this painting.

This work is like a pond and the sky.

I have painted various colors by blending them thinly and repeatedly.

I hope you will enjoy the colors as well as the brilliance of the mica.

タイトルの「光風」には、晴れあがった春の日にさわやかに吹く風という意味があります。

私が椿を取材した3月、既に暖かく力強い春の風が吹いていました。

強い風に花が落ちてしまうのではないかとハラハラしながら見ていましたが、春の風に揺られながらも美しい花を咲かせていました。

通常花ごと落ちる椿ですが、本作品ではひとひらだけ先に花から離れて風に舞う椿を描きました。

金箔や雲母を混ぜた絵の具で動きと輝きを演出しております。

Artist's comment:

The word "sparkle　wind" in the title means a refreshing breeze on a sunny spring day.

When I photographed the camellias in March, a warm and strong spring wind was already blowing.

I was afraid that the strong wind might make the flowers fall down.

The camellia was in full bloom, swaying in the spring breeze.

Normally, camellias fall off with their flowers, but in this work, the camellias are separated from the flowers first and flutter in the wind.　I mixed gold leaf and mica paint to give it movement and shine.

横浜港の風景画です。

私は2013年にクルーズで世界一周しました。その時の出発地点となった横浜港（大桟橋）を描きました。

波の音だけではなく船のエンジン音、風が吹く音、港には色んな音が溢れていて、常に新しいものを運んできてくれる場所です。

エンジンの音ですがクルーズ船のスタッフは下層の船室をあてがわれます。窓のない部屋に終始エンジンの低い音と振動が響きました。

それは長い戦場生活の中である時は騒音ある時は子守唄となりました。

この作品には様々な船の思い出を思い出しながら描きました。

This is a scenic view of the Port of Yokohama.

I went around the world on a cruise in 2013.

I painted the Port of Yokohama (the big pier) where we started.

The port is full of sounds, not only the sound of the waves, but also the sound of the ship's engine, the wind, and many other sounds that always bring new things to us.

As for the sound of the engines, cruise ship staff are assigned to the lower cabins.

The low hum and vibration of the engines echoed throughout the windowless room.

At times it was a lullaby of noise, and at other times it was the sound of a long battlefield life.

In this work, I have recalled many memories of the ship.

"触れる"ということで、自分以外の世界との関わりが宇宙的に広がるようにと描いた作品です。

動物園と植物園を丁寧に取材して描きました。草花や動物たちの表情をどうぞお楽しみください。

This is the "Tactile" work in the series of works that depicts paradise on the theme of the five senses (sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing).

"Touch" is a work that depicts a cosmic expansion of our relationship with the world outside of ourselves! .

The zoo and the botanical garden were carefully covered and drawn.

五感(視覚、嗅覚、触覚、味覚、聴覚)をテーマに楽園を描いたシリーズ作品の「聴覚」の作品です。

主役のバクの表情は,においに反応して唇を引きあげてより多くの臭い物質を取り入れる、フレーメン反応といいます。

動物、植物共に丁寧に取材して描いた一枚です。たくさんの花々を描いています。

扇状のヤシの木は、扇子の役割をし風を起こして香りが漂うというところに関連をつけてモチーフに選びました。

花と桃の香が漂ような世界をどうぞお楽しみください。

This is the "Hearing" piece in a series of works that depicts a paradise based on the five senses (sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing).

I covered animals and plants in this painting.　It depicts many flowers.

I chose the fan-shaped palm tree as a motif because it acts as a fan, creating a breeze and allowing the fragrance to waft through the air.

I hope you will enjoy this world where the scent of flowers and peaches is wafting through the air.
